While attending the Center of Applied Technology North, she competed in the SkillsUSA Baking Competition. Most notably, she placed as a silver medalist during the States competition. She competed 4 times and placed each time!

Bakery Background

The founder and owner of Baker's Best is Heather Carpintieri. She attended the Center of Applied Technology North from 2013 to 2018 and excelled in the Baking and Pastry program. After graduating, she worked as a pastry chef at Tagliata's. She currently works as a pastry chef at Azumi Restaurant.

Heather was also a Cake Decorator for Lauer's Bakery from June 2017 to August 2018. In this position, she applied icing on cakes using airbrushes, evaluated inventory from shelves, handled customer calls, and utilized her artistic ability to create special orders. Some custom cakes included wedding and graduation cakes serving up to 100+ people.

Baker's Best started roughly two years ago when Heather was in her senior year of high school. While managing her part-time cake decorator position and competing in bakery competitions, she started her own bakery business at-home. It started out as simple sheetcakes and has grown into 3D cakes, cupcake cakes, decorative cookies, tier cakes, and more. Baker's Best has created unique and artistic bakery goods since 2017. The at-home bakery is located in Glen Burnie Maryland. Our delicious cakes, cookies, and other bakery goods bring you back home with our comforting and savory desserts.
